Little did I know the story would begin back in Wichita, Kansas. As a young whipper snapper I watched my Aunt Erma bake pies and rolls for church and make the best homemade ice cream from scratch a human has ever tasted. Now right here if ya'll don't mind is where we're going to mosey on into 1994, this is when I met my love sponge, aka wifey. Back then our kids and jobs left us with minimum time together. We longed for something we both could have fun doing that would bring nostalgic moments of joy to people. Then one day it happened. A friend of my wife's introduced us to a gentleman who sold Italian Ice in New Jersey. I flew to New Jersey to observe and get a better understanding of how his business operated. At first sight I was pumped. I did some research only to find out that it would be extremely challenging to get Italian Ice shipped to the Westcoast. That's when I realize I would have to make it myself. Long story short, a short story shorter, we researched Ice Cream machines and found a company that had a long standing reputation. We visited their factory and attended a two day Ice Cream Seminar. Half way through the seminar my wife leans over smiling with tears in her eyes and she said....ok, there was no tears, but she said, "Honeybear, what do you think?" Smiling back at her I said, "Yeaaah, we got this." The beacon went off.. THIS WAS IT !! . "Honeybear"... It was GO TIME !!!!  We were so pumped and smitten with the idea of making our own Homemade Ice Cream from scratch using fresh cream, pure vanilla and no artificial flavors, just like Aunt Erma. We added a slight twist of some of our favorite liqueurs, for a little afternoon delight. On that warm August day in 2016 Honeybear's Frozen Scoops was conceived. We are motivated and passionate about our decadent ice cream and ecstatic about serving the Las Vegas community as we continue to strive for excellence .
